Aaron and I spent a weekend in Dallas and attended a Bastille Day festival, complete with French games, drinks, music and food. I tried mussels, which I’ve never had and they were (surprisingly) pretty good.
Our friends are fostering a pit bull puppy named Walter. Freaking adorable. He visited on the 4th of July, where we had burgers and took turns playing my super Nintendo. Be jealous. Meanwhile, we had a work retreat at Lake Ouachita, and I brought home a huge bowl of lemons left over from styling homes for photo shoots last week. Looks like I’ll be making LOTS of Frozen Rosemary Lemonade this weekend!
I got some super cute Kate Spade shoes 50% off at Barbara Jean, ate strawberry lemonade cupcakes for my Mom’s birthday and made cashew chicken from this recipe that is officially a new staple in our house. Also: had my first gin drink, in the name of research for my summer cocktail series. I guess you could say I lost my virginity.
