In honor of our mini-snow day today, I thought I would share this video of Lula attempting to play in the 8-inch snow after our Christmas Day blizzard. She has some trouble getting around, but once we went to stay at my mom’s house (we lost power for four days) she spent the week going out the doggie door to play in the snow.
Wasn’t the snow amazing? Yes, not having power and throwing all the food in my house away was kind of a bum out, but the morning after was so beautiful!

We installed a new front door this weekend and I am in the process of painting it right now! Currently waiting for coat #1 of a very cute color to dry. Hopefully it will be ready for me to show you tomorrow!

It took two weeks, lots of coaxing and one attack (on the bed, not us) before Lula finally gave in to her birthday bed. I came in the bedroom this morning to find this and had to take a stealthy cell phone shot to show her when she inevitably tries to sneak into our bed tonight.

No, no, don’t cry and check your calendar. Today is, indeed, Thursday, which means that tomorrow is, indeed, Friday. So dry those eyes! Today’s GPOYDT post is coming at you a couple of days late because …..drum roll please….
It’s Lula’s 4th birthday!!! She got a purple suede collar (so fetch!) and this totally stylin’ Boots & Barkley dog bed that will go at the foot of our bed. We’re pretending like she’s going to sleep in it and not piled up on top of us. Ha. Haha.
Isn’t it cute though???
Other presents include bones, a bag of Pup-peroni (I mean, duh) and a Boots & Barkley rubber bone that has lasted about two hours – longer than most of her toys. I have high hopes for this one.
My little girl is all grown up!!! Check out her 3rd birthday here and her first birthday here.
Guess what? We painted the kitchen this weekend! So while I prep photos for tomorrow’s kitchen post, here’s a cute photo of Lula. Yer welcome.
