First of all, get your mind out of the gutter! This isn’t that kind of website. Second, I’ll admit that I went back and forth on whether or not I should post about the bedroom at all, since we technically haven’t started actual work on it and don’t plan to until the kitchen is complete. Other than unpacking our stuff and making a few small purchases, we haven’t painted or replaced things that need to be replaced. The doors are still old and there’s no rug.
But over the last week, the bedroom got two additions that were so exciting I couldn’t not share.
Ta-da! My amazing new Federal-style mirror from Clement and two Society Social marbled pillows, which I won in a contest on Good Bones, Great Pieces. Pretty much everything else you see in this photograph is Nate Berkus for Target (lamps, brown pillows, cream pillow, box, gold bowl).
What we don’t have yet is a bed. But that’s in the works! Last year, my mother built herself a platform bed with an upholstered headboard that turned out so well, I’ve twisted her arm and convinced her to build one for me this year. I’ve already purchased fabric, and the plan is for the two of us to recreate the Colette Bed from Crate & Barrel! Here’s a really bad mock-up of what it would kind of look like:
Yay! If you love my mirror, Clement has a bunch more in different sizes and shades of gold. And if you have never been there, please go immediately. It is, without a doubt, my favorite shop in Little Rock.
