Antiquing Adventures in Little Rock

VintageMarket1A couple Saturdays ago, I got up early and decided to hit up a few of my favorite local spots for antiques, since I’m on the hunt for the perfect credenza. It wasn’t my day for the credenza, but that didn’t make the hunt any less fun! I was in luck, because the South Main Vintage Market was taking place over at Bernice Gardens, so I stopped there first. This monthly market has vendors from all over peddling vintage (20 years old) and antique (50 years old) items as well as recycled and upcycled items.

Next up, I couldn’t leave SoMa without heading across the street to my favorite Little Rock shop – Clement/Sweet Home, where the curiosities and stacked-to-the-ceiling vignettes make browsing as much fun as shopping. I love love love the gold  ship pictured below.

From there, I headed north to Roy Dudley Estate Sales, which is always a good spot to find high end antiques, silver serving pieces and imported items.

This place is piled high with tons of mid-century furniture, housewares and general oddities. There’s more to look at in this place than you’ll ever have time to sort through. They had a few mid-century dressers and even some credenzas, but none were the perfect piece for me.

So even though I came home empty handed, it didn’t even remotely feel like a wasted Saturday. Where are your favorite places to shop for antiques around Little Rock? I need as many recommendations as possible!
